First we carried out the cleaning by dry vacuuming with the Aquafilter. To do this, we clipped the switch head for carpets and hard floors. This accessory has small claws to grab onto animal hair to better dislodge it. After dry cleaning, the result is extremely satisfactory. The brush hooked up well and dislodged the dog hairs.
Dry cleaning the carpet is effective: the dog hairs are found floating in the dirty water tank, where the dirt is trapped. Cleaning was very easy thanks to the switching head and the dirt came off very easily.
The water trap system is designed in a very hygienic way. The tank can be opened without dirt escaping. During the test, it was also possible to shake the container to collect all the dirt and empty it through the hole in the suction connection. This first dry cleaning test was flawless!
We then tested cleaning using an injection/extraction system with the addition of cleaning solution. Small notable point, the textile detergent smells extremely good! We carried out the cleaning using the small extraction nozzle.
The water flow is injected into the carpet using a trigger.This flow is uniform and remains stable, preventing the perimeter of the carpet and the floor from becoming humid. During our test of the Karcher SE4001, the water flow was inconsistent and water leaked randomly. The small nozzle being transparent, we can see the dirt from the carpet being vacuumed. Not surprisingly, the carpet was very dirty and cleaning was effortless. The suction is so powerful that there is no need to exert strong pressure to extract all the water.

After dry and then wet cleaning, we see that there are no more hairs on the carpet.We tried to clean the left side of the carpet by directly injecting water, but the result is less effective. In fact, the furniture nozzle is not equipped with small claws or a brush toremove animal hair like the switchable head does. Even if it is not so visible in a photo, the result is very satisfactory, both in terms of efficiency and practicality!
Test on hard floor of the Thomas Aqua+ Pet & Family
For our second test, we used the Thomas vacuum cleaner on hard floors to clean a coffee grounds stain. We placed the large injection-extraction nozzle.This nozzle is equipped with a brush extension, which can be removed to clean delicate surfaces.
From the first pass, the coffee stain has been completely eradicated! During our test of the Karcher SE4001, it took us a few attempts to find the right inclination and suck up water effectively. With the Thomas, this was not the case: theground was dry instantly and the passage of the nozzle was very simple to carry out.
The test on hard ground having been completed, it is time to discover the contents of the dirty water tank! As you can see in the image below, the insert and the water tank are very dirty, following cleaning of the different areas. The large particles were retained by the insert.

For our 3rd and final test, we tested the Thomas vacuum cleaner on a cream-colored sofa and a carpet. Some stains and traces of rabbit urine are present on the sofa, despite continuous protection of the furniture and cleaning by hand.
